‘charging station’ in Hell’s Kitchen

For those of you who have lost electricity, I’m offering use of my apartment in Hell’s Kitchen as a ‘charging station’ for cell phones and similar devices. I’m on 46th St between 9th & 10th Ave (Manhattan). Please call me to make an appointment.

“Trick or Aid” for Sandy Relief in Greenpoint

Folks in Chinatown, Downtown Brooklyn, Red Hook, the Lower East Side, Staten Island, and the Rockaways are badly in need of supplies. North Brooklyn was hit hard in places too, but since many of us retained power and stayed dry, we may have a lot of resources direly needed by others.

Portland to Protest Austerity

Community groups, Occupy Portland and unions including SEIU, CWA and Letter Carriers will march on Oregon’s largest city Nov. 3 as they take aim at proposed government austerity cuts, and demand larger taxes on corporations and the wealthy.
